I added my w-2 from my temp job I worked for 1 month and the federal returns says that I owe $30 and state is 0. I printed documents out, do I have to mail the state one too or just the federal or just the federal that I owe the money too?
If the amendment results in no change, it not necessary to mail the state.
The federal amendment that shows you owing $30 should be mailed with a copy of the original first page of the 1040 that you amended.
