I amend my tax returns due to the wrong number on a 1098-T Box 5. The state already adjusted my refund. How do I enter adjusted refund in TurboTax? I don't owe state.

If the state already adjusted your refund, you do not need to file an amended state return.

You may still need to file an amended federal return though depending upon the overall change to your tax liability.

Correcting the 1098-T changed Adjusted Gross Income on the Federal return.

Even though nothing is owed to the state, because the Adjusted Gross Income accounts for the adjusted state refund, the state said if the AGI changed then an amended state return should be submitted.

But TurboTax doesn't provide any place to enter the adjusted refund amount.  So I'm confused as what to do.

TurboTax finally asked about my refund amount ... that should happen before asking me for my bank account to debit the tax.
