I am trying to amend my return to add an out of state W2G. Why am I having to pay to file the added state? I want to print and mail it in.

It's for NC and Turbo Tax online is trying to charge me $64 more on this amended tax return. I rather print and send it in, not efile it. It should be free.

You cannot use online TurboTax now. Online is closed. You have to use the downloaded desktop software.

If you are using desktop software, you pay for each additional state software program. When you filed the original return did you prepare a NC return? If your original state return was for some other state, you can expect to pay for the software for a different state now. And....you can only mail the return; you cannot e-file it.
