I am amending my return. My child's name and SSN has changed since filing the original return. Do I use original information or new information?

Any changes to the name or SSN that occurred in 2025 will not affect the 2024 tax return so there is no need to amend the 2024 tax return.

That is not the reason I am amending. I'm amending for a different reason but want to know if I should update name and ssn information when amending.
