Hw long it take to receive a certified check in the mail frm irs

What is your situation?  What is the context of your question?  Has a check been mailed already?  Or is one being prepared? The IRS doesn't usually send a certified check.   A bank ought to take a US Treasury check.

@epo39b I had a tax advocate that had just got my 2013 return released from the irs. She called me on the 8th of June and irs will mail a check to my old address on the following monday which was the 13th. She said to expect on tht friday which was the 17th.. I still have nt received anything yet and was wondering if this was normal? It's been 9 business days from tht date and nuffin yet.. Its not a certified check but they was sending it through certified mail..

Its a 2013 return that was just released and i filed with my old address bck thn.. I am going to call my advocate this week and see if i can get that tracking number and to see if she can tell me if they sent it already..

The timing of the delivery of Certified Mail is solely under the control of the USPS. See if the Tax Advocate can give you a  tracking number.  But why was the check sent to your old address?
