You can request a copy of your tax return from the IRS. Or you can try making an appointment at the Social Security Administration (SSA).

Those who need an actual copy of a tax return can get one for the current tax year and as far back as six years. The fee per copy is $43. Taxpayers can complete and mail Form 4506 to request a copy of a tax return and mail the request to the appropriate IRS office listed on the form.

The tax transcript will not show the full social security number (SSN).  The IRS has also started trying to protect your security.

An IRS transcript will not show the full SSN--it will only show a few of the digits.   If you used TT to file a past tax return you can look for your return and see the dependents claimed on a past year to get their SSN.

Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them.  Log out of the account you are in now.
