How to download tax return in PDF format?

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents.  Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state. 

This will take you back to the 2022 online tax return.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen.  Then click on Print Center.  Then click on Print, save or preview this year's return.  Choose the option Include government and TurboTax worksheets

If you can’t get into your return, on your Tax home page, go to the bottom click “Add a State”, your not really adding a State, but it allows you to get back into your return.

How do I save my 2022 TurboTax Online return as a PDF?

We'll automatically save your 2022 online return in both PDF and tax data file (.tax) formats once you file your return or when TurboTax Online shuts down in late October, whichever comes first.

You also have the option of saving your return as a PDF before filing if you want to see how the underlying tax forms have been filled out. Here's how:

1. Sign in and open (continue) your online return, if you're not already signed in
2. Select Tax Tools in the left menu
3. Select Print Center, choose Print, save, or preview this year's return, and follow the instructions
   • If you haven't yet paid your TurboTax Online fee (or registered, if you're using a free version), you'll need to do so before you can save the PDF

If you make changes to your return after saving your PDF, repeat these steps to ensure that your PDF file stays in-sync with your online data.

Tip: PDF files can't be opened or read by TurboTax software, which means they can't be used for amending or troubleshooting calculation issues. For this reason, we recommend that you also save your completed return as a tax data file.
