If you recently filed
your return, wait until you know whether it has been accepted or rejected by
the IRS.
If it is rejected,
then you can correct your bank information before you resubmit your return.
If it is accepted,
you cannot change the bank information.
However, if the account that you entered has been closed or is invalid, you will receive your refund by mail. If the information you entered is for someone
else’s account, some banks will not accept a deposit where the names do not
match. In this case, you should contact
the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 to track your refund.
