How to amend my tax return?

Hi Team, How to amend my 2020 tax return as I requested for 2nd stimulus check recovery rebate credit. However post that I got the the 2nd stimulus check in my mailbox. Please assist.

Do not amend the tax return-the IRS will make the calculation adjustment for you.

Do not send the check back--they will know they sent it and reduce the Recovery Rebate Credit which could potentially cause even further delays.

Thanks for responding. I’ll wait on IRS for Tax refund and meanwhile I have encashed my check. Hope IRS will adjust my refund accordingly.
