IRS has previously said you will generally receive a response 6 weeks after the IRS receives your request for a payment trace, but there may be delays due to limited staffing.
Since your claim involves identity theft, it may take longer.
Try contacting IRS again if enough time has passed. If you are unable to get answers, contact the Taxpayer Advocate Service. You can find your local contact at Local Taxpayer Advocate.
Keep in mind, the worst time to contact IRS is right now. Volume will slow after April 18.
