How long does it take for my money to clear in direct deposit when they sent it and it was approved yesterday ?

You can go back and review your tax documents on turbo tax and see the account numbers

If you had your fees deducted from your refund, the refund will first be sent to Santa Barbara Bank, so they can deduct the fees and then deposit the remainder of the refund into your account.

I still haven't received the federal return. The state return was deposited last week. The where's my refund webpage said it was sent on February 5th. This is my sons tax return (he's a minor) and I called about a week and a half ago and the guy told me they hold the return for a week for first time tax filers with direct deposit but it's been well over a week. I think I'm going to call again. This is ridiculous

Turbo Tax will not have a status on your refund. You can contact the IRS and Santa Barbara.

Does send the refund .. Exactly the day it says it sends it ..or does take 1 to 2 days to process... Mine said sent on the 21 friday Feb..but i haven't received it yet.. Is this because they only send/process payment on business days not wkends .. It stated check with my bank if not received by the 25th Feb(tomorrow) plz clarify.  .. I filled single not hoh

Deposits are done on weekdays only. If you chose your fees to be deducted, you can check with SBTG.

Direct deposit is different from processing. What your referring to is banks don’t process meaning post to an account on holidays or weekend due to the federal reserve not being open. Direct deposit will sit in a pending status but the funds will be available for use. I have worked for three banks BofA, Chase, and PNC. Some banks, mostly Credit unions can give you a memo credit or release the Direct Deposit early if they are able to see it, some have stipulations to release or do a memo credit (they may check on your relationship with the bank)

Mine was deposited at around 10pmo. The 25th the IRS stayed it would be deposited on the 26th so I got it a few hours early

It can take 1 to 5 days for your financial institution to deposit funds into your account. 

If the status in Where’s My Refund? shows “Refund Sent”, the IRS has sent your tax refund to your financial institution for direct deposit. If you don't receive it in after 5 days then you should contact your financial institution.
