How Do I Set My Banking Information For Direct deposit for stimulus check?

If you already filed a return & it has been accepted, you cannot add direct deposit information.   The IRS is going to give taxpayers the chance to enter their own banking information.  See the following:

In the coming weeks, Treasury plans to develop a web-based portal for individuals to provide their banking information to the IRS online, so that individuals can receive payments immediately as opposed to checks in the mail.

If I filed my 2018 return but cannot file my 2019 return until later this year, can I use the TT portal to provide my DD information for the stimulus check? Or by using the TT portal, it will affect my process when I am ready to file my 2019 return later this year? Thank you.
