How do i find my documents from 2016?

I used turbotax in 2016 and filed myself. Once i logged in i cant find any of the documents i've uploaded or any type of history.

If you can't get the side menus to open up to access the prior year..... You need to start entering some basic Personal Info in 2022 for the side menu to open up. Just continue a little ways into 2022. I had to go though about 12 screens.

If you used the Desktop CD/Download program then the only copy is on your computer and not saved or stored online. So you need to make and keep your own backups.

Or request a transcript from the IRS

Did you upload documents to My Docs?   Or are you actually referring to documents you imported into the software--like your W-2's, or some types of 1099's,  mortgage 1098's, etc.    TurboTax does not have images or copies of documents you imported.

Unless you "uploaded" documents to My Docs to save, TurboTax does not have images of copies of your tax documents such as W-2's or 1099's, etc.  Only the information that was entered from the documents can be found on the worksheets that are part of the pdf of your returns.
