HOW DO I download a .pdf of my state tax return? The site only shows me a doc called TaxReturn.tax2024, which I can't open.

The state return should be in the same pdf file as federal.   Do you see a federal pdf?   State is included after federal.   It may be in between 2 federal returns if your state requires a copy of federal.
