As long as you haven't paid your TurboTax Online fee (or registered a cost-free version), you can clear any data you entered. (Fees paid through Pay With My Refund and pre-paid code also count as "paid.")

While you're in your return, simply click at the top where it says "My Account" and then the drop down menu will give you an option stating "Clear and Start Over". That will delete your return and give you the option to start fresh

There is no "My Account" at the top or anywhere else in can find within a tax return.  Give me a workable solution to delete a tax return from 2018 TurboTax deluxe

If you have not paid for the online edition you are using, have not filed your tax return or registered the Free edition, then you can clear your return and start over.  Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the program screen while working on the 2019 online tax return.  Click on Clear & Start Over.

Turbotax Premier (2019):  My "free" state return attached to a return labeled ~2019 Form 1040...... that was not completed.

I completed my return (labeled Conroy 2019 etc.) and am ready to file.  How can I delete the unlabeled return file, and restore my "free" state return so I can efile my (now complete) tax return?

Thank you.

This is how I deleted my unfinished return. (Beware: You probably will lose all the data you entered for that return.) I'm running 2019 Basic, downloaded, Win10.

(1) Exit TurboTax.

(2) Open File Explorer.

(3) Show hidden files/folders. From top menu: View | Options | Change folder and search options | View | Show hidden files, folders, and drives | Apply | OK.

(4) Delete the folder containing the data. Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Intuit\TurboTax\TY19.  Delete the entire TY19 folder.

@2701576 No one has access to your account or your tax return, so no one else can delete anything for you.  If you did not register, file or pay you can clear out the return yourself.
