How do i change residency to a return?

If by residency you mean which state(s) you resided in during tax year 2024, please follow these steps in TurboTax to change/edit that information:

Sign in to your return
On the left side panel choose My Info
Click on the Revisit box and walk through the questions until you get to Let's check for some situations
Use the drop down menu to choose your state of residence
If applicable, choose "I lived in another state in 2024" (or any of the other options)
If you earned income in another state, scroll down on the main My Info page and choose Other state income and then Start/Revisit
