HOW TO CHANGE OR ENTER BANKING INFORMATION FOR REFUND

You cannot  change banking information while your return is in pending, nor can you change it after the return is accepted.  The IRS does not allow it.

You can change Bank Accounts during the filling process.

  • When you've completed your tax return, and did the Federal Review, you will be ready to file it.
  • You will select File from the left in the Online version, or the top in Desktop.
  • There will be a series of questions in the interview.  This is for your security.
  • As you approach the finish line there will be an opportunity to retain an old Bank Account , or change to a new one.
  • This process will be available on both the Federal and on any State fillings.

If you've already filed and  the financial institution returns the refund to the IRS, the IRS will send a paper refund check to your last known address on file with the IRS.
