How do I ammend my state return so that I can efile me MO state return?

State return says that it can't be efiled and is ready to be mailed, in my return it says "Attach renewal of benefit applications and supporting documents for the Missouri Department of Social Services." but this does not apply to me. Is there a way to ammend my return to get rid of this so I can efile? Any help is appreciated.

TurboTax transfers data from your federal return to your state return. If the info in your federal return is incomplete or incorrect, your state return won't be complete or correct either.

Before you begin troubleshooting your state return, go back through your federal return (starting at the Personal Info tab) and make sure everything's correct.

Once you're done, select the State Taxes tab and review the state section. Pay close attention to the info, especially if you made changes to your federal return. There might be new sections that need to be completed.

Sometimes changes made to your federal return won't transfer if you override info in your state return. If this happens, delete your state return and start over.

My federal return is fine and went through, the problem is specific to my MO state return. I've never had to mail in my state return because of this issue, and I've never had to attach a renewal of benefits application to my tax return. This isn't something that I was asked to include or opt out of while prepping my return, and it's not something I've ever had to do before. Is there a way to remove this specific form since it doesn't apply to me? If I need to delete and restart my state return, is there a way to opt out of the specific form that's asking for a renewal of benefits application for my state? If so, how would I go about doing that?

You can delete the form from your Missouri tax return and then e-file.

To remove the form from your return, please follow the instructions below:

1. Go to your state return.
2. Click continue until you reach the page Renewing benefits with the Department of Social Services and will need to print and mail in forms with the Missouri tax return?.
3. Click no at the bottom of the page. 
4. Continue through your return. 

Once you select no, the forms should be removed from the return. At that point, follow the instructions on the page How do I e-file my state after I already filed my federal?
