How do I amend my 2020 taxes after e-file and it’s still pending. The direct deposit information is incorrect

Once the tax return has been filed the method or means to receive a tax refund cannot be changed.

If the tax refund cannot be direct deposited by the IRS they will send the refund as a check in the mail to the address entered on the tax return.
