Good luck----it sounds like the IRS made a mistake. Every return with an amount on line 30 is being looked at by a human ....... so maybe the one who looked at your return goofed. Being a dependent for 2019 could NOT be a valid reason to disallow the credit on your 2020 return. Do not confuse them with any other stuff about 2019 now. It is based ONLY on 2020.
Sadly someone at IRS suggested that but they donāt do anything that has to do with the recovery rebate credit.
