How can I find out if my injured spouse claim was applied to my case. I mailed it in after my taxes were filed

My stimulus check was taken along with my husband's they took the whole thing I sent injures spouse overnighted should of been received on march 31st so I'm not quite 8 weeks but I agree should punish us for husbands debt def not fair waiting to get that. Money at this time that it's so much needed

Your welcome! I filed back on Feb 20- approaching the 11 week mark next Friday and nothing has been updated Dive they received it that day. I got on the phone and kept leaving daily messages at my local tax payer advocates office- he told me to fill out that form (911) and fax - now just waiting -

Make sure you emphasis how badly you need your refund or they will just stall

Please what is the form 911 for? It’s been 9 weeks since my injured spouse for 971 was received and no update yet. Do I also need to fill the 911 form?

No, I've been calling for weeks and it's impossible to get live person.  Only automated.

When you can't reach the IRS and it is past the processing time it would take to get refund after injured spouse(I read 8 weeks if you filed the injured spouse form by itself and not with your return), you go to your local tax payer advocate for your state and fill out the 911 form. h you can find yours here... //www.irs.gov/advocate/local-taxpayer-advocate.  They work with the IRS to ensure we have our rights protected.
