" 3 qualifying questions" - What are these 3 qualifying questions? "student", "disabled", "none of the above"?
If so, if you are filing married joint, TurboTax doesn't think that one (or both) of you have earned income. This often happens when you enter W-2s for both of you, and forget to show that your spouse owns the other W-2. Please check.

It asks if we paid for dependent care expenses. I say yes. Then it asks about residency in the US for 6 months or more. I say yes. Then it asks if either of us were full time students or disabled. I say none of the above. It says I qualify but never allows me to enter any information. It shows who was entered last year and the amounts in the review page but when I hit “edit/add” it asks me those questions again and brings me back to the page showing all available deductions and credits. I can’t edit anything.
We have seen some users trying to get the childcare credit before they have entered income earned from working. Until you enter some income from your W-2's or from self-employment income that showed a net profit you will not be able to make progress in the childcare credit section.
That’s the answer then! I was trying to enter data as I had it and I had not entered any income yet because I didn’t have my W2s yet. Thank you! I spent way more time than I should have today on this.
