How can I change a return that has been finished, but not submitted to the IRS? Turbotax forces it to be an amended return.

OK ...if the program thinks you are READY TO MAIL the return ... to open it up and continue simply scroll down and click on ADD A STATE to open it back up and make changes ... do NOT use the amendment process.
