How can I add a W-2 if I already did one for the year of 2024?

To add a W-2 to your taxes you can follow these steps

Log into TurboTax.

1. Under Federal
2. Click Wages & Income a menu will appear.
3. Select Job (W-2)
4. [Add/Edit]
5. You will see your W-2 posted earlier
6. Select [+ Add a new W-2]
7. Follow the interview to post the new W-2

Did you actually Transmit the first one?

If so, then:

If the first one was "Accepted", you wait for the original refund (or pay it's balance due).....then, in March, you start an AMENDED tax return for both Federal and state, and add it in....then perhaps you might have to pay back some of your refund.  Don't touch anything until you get the original refund, or paa the original tax due.

If the first one ends up being rejected....you would simply edit it into the original, and refile it.

NEVER File a tax return before you get all your tax documents.  Amending is a pain.
