Hi. In order to claim my mom as a dependent on my return i had to file a 1040x for her to change her filing status. That amended return was processed.

I resubmitted my return and it was rejected again for the same reason. It seems it is not referencing the amended return status on my mom's 1040X. HEEELP!!!

Sorry you sill have to mail your return even though her return was amended. Once a ssn has been used as primary you cant efile it again.  The amended return won’t clear her ssn.

Amended returns take 3-4 months to be fully processed. You might have to mail return with an explanation and wait.
