People have to forget about the 8 day deposit posts. That's out the window. There is updated information from the WSJ stating posted on this board that if you entered your banking info by midday Apr 22, you will be receiving a DD on 4/29. Please read the posts!
These payments will likely go to two groups: One set is tax filers who successfully used the Internal Revenue Service website’s “Get My Payment” tool to add bank information by midday on April 22, according to the IRS
Where can I read it?
OK this is the best information that i have seen yet! So thank you for this!! My only concern is does this mean last week the IRS did nothing in regards to deposits lol?? But again the newest and most helpful information yet!!
Here is the link to the story for everyone who wants to see it!

I'm sure everyone will get their deposits within the next two weeks. the "get my payment" system is really new and was developed in a short amount of time. they are still working on it. the payments are not fully automated.
If you entered your info through turbotax prior to 4/15 your info was not processed / input into the irs system until after 4/15, which places you in the 4/15 - 4/23 window if you are receiving this message. On tuesday 4/28 your date will be available and deposit will occur between 4/29 and 5/8. Cheers !
I used the Get My Payment tool to update my direct deposit info the 15th, was confirmed and showed bank account to be deposited into. Been checking it everyday and it STILL says that I am eligible for a payment but no date. Today is Saturday the 25th and no change,no deposit, no check.
I think IRS used those with a refund to direct deposit their account, and those owe IRS with account number they never process in their system. They did not have in their system to look at those people just added their account numbers and therefore they could not tell us when it will be ready to processs these payments.

Next Wave of IRS Stimulus Payments Set to Hit Bank Accounts in Coming Days
WASHINGTON—In the second big wave of stimulus payments, the IRS will send money over the next few days to people who recently provided their direct-deposit information.
These payments will likely go to two groups: One set is tax filers who successfully used the Internal Revenue Service website’s “Get My Payment” tool to add bank information by midday on April 22, according to the IRS.
The other set is people who don’t file tax returns but who receive Social Security or Social Security disability benefits, according to the Treasury Department.
The payments could follow the pattern that occurred when the government sent the first round of direct deposits two weeks ago. Then, the Treasury notified banks of the coming payments on a Friday. Some people saw the money in their accounts within hours. Nearly all the payments had arrived by the following Wednesday. This time around, that would mean payments arriving by April 29.

We changed my daughter’s DD on the 14th and she is still getting the same message as the rest of you are. Any news on this? It’s now been far too long.
At this point I am not holding my breath , I gave my banking info weeks ago and still nothing ! If the irs owes us money they take there sweet old time, but boy oh boy if we owe them money they want it NOW! They’re hoping we all forget about the money . It’s so easy for the government to say we will give the American people money but can’t tell anyone when the money will be in the bank except within a few days which has turned into weeks !
