CA state form 3526 was filled out correctly by TT.  I can access it via the Forms list by typing Form 3526 in the search box, but it does not show up in the list of forms that will be filed for the state.  Form 3526 has the same data as fed Form 4952 and there are no adjustments for CA, but in past years Form 3526 was always included by TT anyway.  Note that Form 3526 AMT and Form 3526 worksheet ARE in the forms list, but not form 3526 itself.  Very odd.  When I do a "review", TT says CA return is ready to file.  "Print all forms" excludes Form 3526.

Thank you.

The TurboTax forms availability tool indicates that California Form 3526 and Form 3526-AMT are available for printing, but that Form 3526-AMT is not supported by the program.

If you are using the Desktop version of TurboTax, check to be sure you are using the latest update to the software. This could have an effect on which forms show as available to print. If using TurboTax Online, you could refresh your browser, log out and back in again, or try another browser to see if this produces different results.

Otherwise, as you stated, the same information is included on the Federal return which is also being transmitted to California.

Update to my California Form 3526 issue...I read the instructions more closely...

From TT's notes for Form 3526 Worksheet: "As the program [TT] does not compute the following adjustments, you must calculate them manually" including Line 14a column a & column b.

It's odd that TT does have the information to automatically compute/enter that information for Line 14a Cols a & b.  But I entered it manually as instructed.  In fact, TT uses that same information for the Calif Sch CA adjustments statement (Part II Line 6) since California allows the deductions of miscellaneous investment expenses (subject to some limitations) that are not allowed on Fed Sch A (until 1/1/2026 at which time Schedule A may include them again).

So I think I'm now ready to file.  It's complicated.
