Form 1099-S

I received a Form 1099-S from the sale of a family member's main home that I had an interest in.  I know all the information I need to input as far as proceeds, basis, etc. but I don't know where to enter this in Turbotax.  If you go "Less common income" items then it's for the sale of a main home.  If I try to input as an investment and call it "Other" or a "second home" it shows up on Form 8949 as if I received a 1099-B.  Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Form 1099-S

It's ok if it shows up on Form 8949.  Form 8949 is not just for investment sales reported on a Form 1099-B.  It's for any asset sales other than those related to a business.  It sounded like you were on the right track.  If you have a gain on the transaction it won't matter whether you report it as a second home or an investment property.
