If the amounts are different you would have had to offer an explanation in section III of the 1040X. The reason why you are amending your return is most likely changing your AGI otherwise it could be an error.

Also be sure to mail your 1040X to the IRS location as specified on the 1040X instructions NOT the address provided by the Turbo Tax instructions.

1040-X 2023 column A line 1 is not the same as the original adjusted gross income tax on return I filed. Note used TurboTax to file 1040 and 1040-X.
