Fee for Amended Return?

I have to file an amended 2025 return because another 1099-R came in the mail. I went through the whole process and when I got to the end it's asking me to pay $238 !!  I already paid when I filed our original return and I thought it included an amendment if needed. Do I need to file a paper return instead to avoid paying again?

If you only added a 1099-R to the original return you filed, there should not be a charge to amend the return.
