Should the 2018 tax refund I received match the refund amount exactly?

The refund I just received via direct deposit to my bank account was $20 short of the stated refund amount. I have received no explanation for the shortfall. What could have happened?

It should match. Watch your mail, it may take a few days, but you will get a letter from the IRS telling you why there was a difference.
