Federal taxes still not here

Filed Feb 15 and accepted the same day. Received my state return already but still showing processing for my federal return! This has never taken so long. I feel like a lot of people are having the same issues!

Each year is different, and this past one has been challenging.  Remember COVID?  The IRS was shut down for several months, and is still catching up on 2019 tax return filings. Then Congress enacted major 2020 tax law changes late (and is currently considering more).   Going forward, you can always change your withholding so that you do not have to wait for a refund at tax time.
