Federal tax due and not debited

I filed my Federal taxes at the beginning of March and set up via TurboTax to have the amount owed to the IRS debited on April 15th. It has not been debited and I'm a bit nervous that I am going to be charged a penalty. HELP!! Thanks in advance!

I am in a similar situation, except I set the payment date to be the same as the submission which was few weeks ago. So I called them today and after being ninety minutes on hold they told me the return has not been processed and until that happens they won't withdraw the money from the account.

Right. As indicated above, the due date is May 17 this year.
