Federal return rejected for 3rd year in a row

This is my 3rd year using turbo tax and the 3rd year my tax return has been rejected.  Same error every year - IND-032-04 "SpousesPriorYearPin" or "SpousePriorYearAGIAmt" in the return header must match the e-file database.  We file joint returns so I know the AGI is correct.  I tried 5 different things last year and nothing worked.  My wife has a different last name from me and my last name is very long.  So I have truncated my wife's first name to be just her initial. I was hoping this will work this year but it didn't.

I need a refund for the $25.24 charged to my account for state efile fees as the state was rejected as well

Special thanks to Dorothy T (Turbo Tax Support Staff) who took a genuine interest in my issue and was able to resolve it.  I don't understand why this worked but Dorothy had me put $0 as my wife's prior year AGI and it worked.  Seems odd that $0 works and the actual AGI kicks back an error but for the first time in 3 years my return was successfully e-filed.
