Okay questions answered topic 152 is ID verification. I finally got a hold of some one on the phone I am getting transcripts from my old tax return to verify identity along with a letter with a number to call and information to prove that it's me filing. Hope this answer some of the questions people have been asking like myself! But I've noticed that alot of people just danced around the answer instead of a direct given. 🙂

I got tired of waiting for my transcript from the IRS so I just got a old w2 and called with the letter and passed I wasn't trying to prolong thought I needed extra paperwork but really didn't

Exactly you don't need the transcript. If you can access your old w2 your good they really only ask couple questions off your old w2. They only seemed me my total income amount paid in federal tax and who did paid you your wages

Yeah that was the only thing they asked me too and they didn't even ask about the one for this year it was like a minute and I was verified lol bs

Anybody know why when you check your 2018 transcript it shows nothing - all 0.00 on info but you know your return was received and ID verified? And the transcript also says no return on file as of March 4th? How? We haven’t reached March 4th yet. lol

I just legit read everything in here & totally same problem! I was accepted 1/23/19. Got my state return 1/31. I am also having the topic number 152, so obviously today is March 1st. How long will it take me to even get this identity verification paper? It seems like everyone else got theirs pretty quickly. It does say please mention reference liner 9001 to the irs customer service but anytime I call, I just get hung up on by the robot lady.

Accepted 2/5 filed same day get 5071C on 2/26 verify same day WMR has been showing no information whatever TT shows bar full but still says accepted they did say wait up to 9 weeks when I verified they asked about addresses my 1040 and asked about my income in 2014 and how much taxes I paid he literally said just estimate it so I did in 2014 I was 17 ...website is Bs is there anyway I can get a date for my return can I call will it be automated or on hold for half hour??

Most likely won't tell you nothing but wait 9 weeks did you claim a dependent?

@akhuffman05 just keep calling back to back the automated system is trash.  But if you keep calling you'll get through. I called around noon est and was on hold literally 7 minutes before talking to someone
