Email from greendot

Hello I'm confused on a email I received from greendot bank.

I was accepted for an advance in the amount of $1,500.  I then recieved an email from greendot saying I wasn't approved for my advance but did not say why. This email also came just shortly before I got an email saying my taxes were accepted.

I'm confused because it says if I was denied I would get an email from first century bank with an explanation to why I was rejected.  All I got was an email from greendot and it was without any explanation.

Is it safe to assume I can still receive my $1500 I was pre approved for?

Yeah I'm having the same issue. Turbo tax said I was approved for up to 2,000 and then the same situation I got an email from greendot not First Century stating that I was denied. I got the same advance last year so I'm a little confused.

If you didn't qualify for Refund Advance, it may be because:

  • Your federal refund was not $500 or more.
  • You did not agree to all the Refund Advance terms and conditions.
  • You owed the U.S. Government or your State.
  • You had debt enforced by a State such as, but not limited to, child support obligations, past student loans, tax liens, and any other payments owed to a Federal or State agency.
  • You did not pass the lender’s final evaluation. Subject to review of third-party information.

Like myself, Im sure many others only opted for the turbo card because of the loan. After being told I was approved I continue with mye-file, agree yo every term with a bubble beside it and submit it. Shortly after I go  to look at my email and see a message from Green Dot, not the bank as stated. So now I’m  stuck getting my money on a card that was supposed to be used for the loan. If it wasn’t for the loan I would’ve chose the card. This is misleading by far. Im seeking legal advice on this because I will be charged fees on my money to remove my money from a card I was mislead into selecting.
