EFile 2024 California Amended Return?

Intuit says I can efile amended 2024 California returns electronically, according to a posting in February, 2026, but my desktop Premier software isn't allowing me to do so.  What might I be doing wrong?   What's the current status?

Generally, you can e-file your amended 2025, 2024, or 2023 federal return via TurboTax if your original return was also e-filed in TurboTax, according to this current help article.

If there is something in your return that doesn't allow e-filing, then you can print and mail your amended return.

Thanks.  Intuit would not allow e-file of my amended Fed Return.  Please note my question is about my amended 2024 California Tax Return.

You generally cannot e-file an amended state return for a prior year in TurboTax; you must print and mail it. While TurboTax allows e-filing amended federal returns for the current year (and sometimes the two prior), older, amended state returns usually require paper filing. You can generally only e-file amended returns if the original was done in TurboTax and it is for the immediate preceding tax year.

I saw the help article you linked.  I'm trying to amend a California return for 2024.  California is on the list in the help article.  That's why I'm asking....California is listed, but TurboTax isn't allowing an efile.  Who should I contact?

TurboTax unfortunately can only efile amended returns for the current tax year.  @dbabz
