Total amount was less than $100. I just typed in the wrong numbers.

Don't amend for $2. If you get a letter from the IRS asking for a few dollars of additional tax, just pay it. It's unlikely that you will. Anyway, you won't get in trouble.

If my original tax return has not been processed and I have not received my return can they money I owe for my “amended” return be taken out of the original refund?
