Do i need to send in my return

I just filed taxes. I just want to make sure it went through.
The message says:
Way to go, you filed your 2019 taxes. But it says that i need to send in my return. Is that something required or am i already in the irs system?

Did you go all the way through the File tab, through the 3 steps and hit the big orange Transmit Returns Now button?

When you efile you get back 2 emails.  The first email only confirms the transmission.  The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.

When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc.  What does it say?

If it says Printed or Ready to Mail you can try to change it from Mail to Efile

Click on Add a State to let you back into your retun.

I got to the screen that says:

I have $0 refund. So i want to know if it's required that i send in my return or i can just leave it how it is?

Yes you still have to file a return even with 0 refund or tax due.  But did you efile?  Or does it say you Printed it or it's Ready to Mail?  Did you try to Efile?  Check my links above.

It says i cant because i have some files that cant be e-filed.

I am looking around why that is or ill just mail it in.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS received the return. Don’t forget state.

Important! Mail Federal and State in separate envelopes and mail each year in separate envelopes.

I just found it a bit interesting that on the final page it says "You filed" if i didn't yet..
