Do I need to file an amended tax return for a corrected 1099c cancellation of debt if the amount claimed is exactly the same?
I received a 1099 - C form in 2014 for cancellation of student loan debt for $10,000 that I filed on my taxes. In December, 2016 I received a corrected 1099 - C form from the same bank for the same amount of $10,000 on the same debt. Do I need to file an amended tax return for 2014?

There is no need to amend since the numbers are exactly the same.

I can find no change on it. It appears exactly the same.
