Did you already e-file? Was the e-file accepted or rejected? If the return was accepted you do not amend for an IP PIN. If the e-file was rejected, then you do not amend---but you do enter the IP PIN before you attempt to e-file it again. Do NOT click on anything that says "amend."
If you have a 6 digit PIN issued to you by the IRS you need to enter it in order to e-file. Go to Federal>Other Tax Situations>Other Return Info>Identity Protection PIN and enter the six-digit PIN.
