If you have already e-filed or mailed in your return, you are not able to make any changes to your direct deposit information. If your financial institution rejects the deposit, the government will mail your refund check to the address listed on your tax return..
Please see the FAQ: What if I entered the wrong bank account for direct deposit? for additional information.

But what happens if your address is also wrong along with the account number for my direct deposit?

@ahanz You will need to contact the IRS, to see what steps you need to take in this case, if your mailing address is incorrect. Please see the directions below, to contact the IRS:

How do I contact the Internal Revenue Service (IRS)?

Note:

You will need to follow the prompts in order to speak to an IRS agent. There is a high call volume this time of year.

When calling the IRS do NOT choose Option 1.

Choose Option 2 after you choose the language.

Then Press 1

Then Press 3

Then Press 2, it will then transfer you to an agent.
