Direct deposit info

Hi. How long does the IRS keep your direct deposit information on file. We did not get a refund on our 2018 return and will not get one on our 2019 return either.

The IRS is taking information from 2019 returns or 2018 returns if no 2019 return was filed.

The IRS does not have my direct deposit information. What can I do?

In the coming weeks, Treasury plans to develop a web-based portal for individuals to provide their banking information to the IRS online, so that individuals can receive payments immediately as opposed to checks in the mail.
