Did not receive full tax return!

I submitted my taxes with turbo tax I’m January. The federal amount was around $3,700, after waiting OVER A MONTH I only received $2000. I have no outstanding charges and nothing that would cause we to lose over $1700 of my tax return. I’ve heard this is happened with a lot of other people and need mine to get fixed. I know there is no reason I should be losing this much money when I have no debt and filed everything perfectly.

The IRS does not notify TT when it makes an adjustment, but it might be related to the Stimulus and/or  Advanced Child Tax Credit.  The IRS will be mailing you a letter in the next 2-4 weeks.  In the meantime, could you have made a data entry error, or forgotten to claim some income?

I’ve been over 4 weeks and did not get a letter back. There’s no reason for me to have Advanced Child Care Tax Credit. I am a single 20 year old with no children. And it’s definitely not the stimulus. I’ve heard from a lot of people of TurboTax not giving the right amount. There was no forgotten income to claim. This is 100% on TurboTax. There’s no reason Id be losing a whole $1700. Last time I will be filling with TurboTax.

I had the EXACT same thing happen to me. $1700. I files single and don't have any dependents. Makes no sense!

what is on Line 30 of Form 1040?  

was your refund reduced by $1400 or truly $1700?
