Desktop software says pending, email says rejected.

Im using desktop software.

I got rejected and want to fix it.  problem is the DESKTOP software keeps saying pending.  never has it changed to rejected.  How do I get DESKTOP software to relize its rejected?

Issue was a typo on SS number.  Im ready to fix but DESKTOP software keeps saying pending, (after days of waiting)

I have filed both FED/STATE and paid the State filing fee.  If I start over the taxes I can not file electronic as I have already used my 5 free federal (with this rejected one) and then I have paid the state fee but got nothing  for the fee paid.

How do I file electronic both Fed and State under the desktop software with out buying another electronic filing fee? (remember I already filed 5 Fed returns, kids used the software too)  AGAIN I AM NOT DOING ONLINE I AM USING DESKTOP SOFTWARE. 

Why will the software not acknowledge the rejected Fed return?

Hi Kevin, I'm in same boat as you. Did you resolve the Desktop issue? The link says it's for the online version.

yes and no

 I ended up rekeying the whole thing.  it never allowed me to 'correct '  

re-filed and accepted.
