Just realized that the tax preparer misspelled my son's last name on my tax return. Will this delay my refund? If so, will they notify me and by how long will it delay it?

@coolhep007 No, it is a typo that can be corrected next year.
If their SSN is wrong, this will cause your return to be rejected and/or delay your return.

If the IRS would reject your return for any reason, then you would be able to go in and make any necessary changes to your tax return and resubmit.
