Delays in W2 efile processing

I e-filed my W-2s via the Quick Employers forms (like I've done in many previous years) on January 23rd, and it is still showing "e-file processing" and when I move the cursor over the message, it states "processing form at the SSA as of 23 January 2026". 

I understand from a previous response that it can take a little while, but now it's been almost three weeks, while in the past it was processed within a day or two.

Can Intuit/Turbo tax please look into this?

Delays in W2 efile processing

Since it says it is processing at the SSA that means it has been transmitted and the SSA is still processing it.  This can take between 2 to 4 weeks for the SSA/IRS to process and mark as accepted. Since it is in the processing phase, you have met your requirements for submitting to the SSA/IRS on time.

 

You can still print your employees W-2 by selecting the PDF button next to each employees name in QEF and selecting print or email.  It does not have to be accepted by the government agencies in order for them to use it to file.
