Can you provide more detail?  When were these contributions made?  And, have you already filed a return for that year?

If these contributions would affect a return that you've previously filed -- which is what it sounds like -- you can most likely file an amended return to reflect these contributions.

Bear in mind that, to get any tax benefits from the contributions, you need to itemize deductions, and those deductions need to be higher than your standard deduction.

The standard deductions for Tax Year 2019 are

  • $12,400  if you're Single (+ $1,600 if age 65 or older)
  • $12,400 if you're Married Filing Separately (+ $1,300 if age 65 or older)
  • $24,800 if you're Married Filing Jointly, or a Qualifying Widow(er) (+ $1,300 for each spouse age 65 or older)
  • $18,650 if you're claiming the Head of Household filing status (+ $1,650 if age 65 or older)

so there may not be any advantage to itemizing for you this year.

Please see the TurboTax Help article "How to amend (change or correct) a return you already filed" for instruction on how to amend your previously-filed tax return.
