If your return is under review, you will just need to be patient while they are completing the review.
You can track your return by checking the Where's My Refund website located here.
If you elected to have your fees deducted from your refund, the IRS will send your return to Santa Barbara Bank, where they will deduct the fees and then deposit any remaining refund into your account.
You can track your refund at the Santa Barbara website by clicking here.
If it has been longer than the time frame they allotted, you can follow the instructions here to speak with the IRS to ask for a new update.
I called 03/04, they told me about my account being under review for 45 days from 2/11 and I should receive my refund 3/27. Now Im getting a letter saying my account is under 60 day review starting 3/23.
@Los410 Please see the information below regarding your tax return being under review:
Why is my return being reviewed?
While most returns are accepted as filed, some are selected for examination. The IRS examines some federal tax returns to determine if income, expenses, and credits are being reported accurately. The IRS selects returns for examination using various methods which include random sampling, computerized screening, and comparison of information received by the IRS such as Forms W-2 and 1099. Having your return selected for examination does not suggest that you made an error or were dishonest.

Note: Per the IRS - You don’t need to take any action. Please do not call us until 60 days after the notice date and only if you haven't received your refund or heard from us by then.
