My current irs transcript shows codes 846 and 766. I’ve looked up the definitions but what are the meanings

Code 846 is the refund code, you will be able to track your refund using the following link to check your refund status. https://www.irs.gov/refunds.

Code 766 refers to a tax credit that was taken on your return.

Okay so the amount that is next to code 766 will be deducted from my original tax return amount?

@aceras2  did you ever get an answer? i have the same code along with 806 on mine and i see the explanations but still have no clue what they mean?
